കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ വായനാ സംസ്കാരത്തിന് നിസ്തുല സംഭാവന നൽകിയ ഗ്രന്ഥശാലാ പ്രവർത്തകനും കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി പുരസ്കാര ജേതാവുമായ പരേതനായ എം.ശിവശങ്കരൻ മാസ്റ്ററുടെ ഒന്നാം ചരമ വാർഷികവും അനുസ്മരണവും ഫെബ്രുവരി 8ന് ഞാങ്ങാട്ടിരിയിൽ വിപുലമായി നടത്തുന്നതിന് സ്വാഗത സംഘം രൂപീകരിച്ചു.
ഞാങ്ങാട്ടിരി യുവകാഹളം ആർട്സ് ക്ലബിൻ്റേയും ജനകീയ വായനശാലയുടെയും സ്ഥാപകാംഗം, പെരിങ്ങോട് യൂത്ത് ലൈബ്രറി പ്രസിഡൻ്റ്, പട്ടാമ്പി താലൂക്ക് ലൈബ്രറി കൗൺസിൽ അംഗം, അധ്യാപകൻ, ഗ്രന്ഥകാരൻ, സംഗീതജ്ഞൻ, നാടൻ കലാ ഗവേഷകൻ, കാഥികൻ എന്നിങ്ങനെ വിവിധ മേഖലകളിൽ സജീവമായിരുന്ന ശിവശങ്കരൻ മാസ്റ്റർക്ക് നാടിൻ്റെ ആദരമെന്ന നിലയിൽ വിപുലമായ പരിപാടികളാണ് ഒരുക്കുന്നത്.
സുനിൽ പി.ഇളയിടം പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന അനുസ്മരണ പ്രഭാഷണവും പ്രശസ്ത ഗായകൻ അലോഷിയുടെ ഗാന സന്ധ്യയുമാണ് പ്രധാന ഹൈലൈറ്റ്.
ഞാങ്ങാട്ടിരി യുവകാഹളം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച സംഘാടക സമിതി യോഗത്തിൽ എം.പി ശിവശങ്കരൻ അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. ടി.കെ നാരായണദാസ്, പി.ഗംഗാധരൻ, ടി.ആര്യൻ കണ്ണനൂർ, കെ.ജനാർദ്ദനൻ, കെ.പരമേശ്വരൻ, വി.പി രാജൻ, ടി.കെ ചന്ദ്രശേഖരൻ തുടങ്ങിയവർ സംസാരിച്ചു.

A welcoming committee has been formed to celebrate the first death anniversary and commemoration of the late M. Sivashankaran Master, a library worker and Kerala Sahitya Akademi awardee who made an invaluable contribution to the reading culture of Kerala, on February 8 in Njangattiri.
A wide range of programs are being organized as a tribute to Sivashankaran Master, who was active in various fields such as the founding member of the Njangattiri Yuvakahalam Arts Club and Janakiya Vayanasala, President of Peringode Youth Library, Member of Pattambi Taluk Library Council, Teacher, Author, Musician, National Arts Researcher, Kathikan.
The main highlight is the memorial lecture by Sunil P. Ilayidom and the song evening by famous singer Aloshi.
